i've never meditated for more than an hour, how can i survive an entire day?

Our day-long, peer lead retreats are designed to fully engage your body, mind & spirit into meditation. Each retreat follows a schedule of guided meditations, singing bowl meditation, Qigong, 12-step yoga, mindful eating, dharma talks and much more. This is a common fear of many first time retreat attendees so our retreats are designed to ease newcomers into our Buddhist recovery practices. We ask that you come with an open mind and please feel free to reach out to our facilitators with any questions or concerns.

I have to arrive late or leave early

We encourage all attendees to try and come early and stay late to get the most out of our retreats but we understand that life happens. Please come in and out of our sacred space quietly and remove shoes prior to entering. If you are going to be late to the retreat please notify our facilitators ahead of time and we will ensure you have a saved spot!

The Nobl​e Steps

Our New Jersey Noble Steps sangha hosts several day- long recovery retreats throughout the year. All retreats will be held online and some in a hybrid mode until further notice.  

  • A bagged lunch. We have refrigerators and microwaves available
  • Water
  • Comfortable clothing
  • Yoga mat (if you do not have one, we have loaners available for the day)
  • ​Blanket or shall to stay warm while sitting
